About - Faculty of Law

The Faculty of Law at Al-Daein University was established to be a leading institution in legal education at the local, regional, and international levels, fulfilling its role among higher education institutions in preparing generations of skilled legal professionals. The Faculty began its journey by offering the Bachelor of Law program, welcoming its first cohort at the beginning of the 2016–2017 academic year. In a later stage of its development, the Faculty introduced Higher Diploma, Master’s, and Doctoral programs in Public and Private Law. The Faculty also has a clearly defined vision, mission, objectives, and key pillars guiding its academic plan.

To be a distinguished scientific, training, and research institution that combines authenticity with modernity, with societal contributions and a competitive presence locally, regionally, and internationally.

Mission

To prepare and qualify outstanding legal professionals, serve the community, and support authentic legal research in accordance with comprehensive quality standards.

Objectives of the Faculty:

Within the framework of Al-Daein University’s national and regional mandate, the Faculty seeks to achieve the following objectives:

  1. Prepare and qualify students for various legal professions and other service areas in both the public and private sectors.

  2. Train students to work in legal and judicial fields of regional and international relevance.

  3. Develop students’ legal mindset and understanding to enable correct application of the law, connect and analyze legal concepts, link law with other specialized fields, and enrich scientific research in these areas.

  4. Enhance students’ skills and professional capabilities through practical training, complementing their academic preparation, enabling them to practice various legal professions with the required scientific and professional standards.

  5. Cultivate in students the ability to ground their work in authentic legal principles.

  6. Prepare students to contribute to enriching legal and jurisprudential knowledge through research across various legal and jurisprudential systems, linking key aspects of legal research to issues in East Darfur and surrounding areas in particular, and national issues in general.

  7. Contribute to the dissemination of legal and jurisprudential knowledge and culture, serving fundamental and constitutional principles.
