Overview
The location of the Faculty of Animal Production and Livestock -El-Daein University, in the city of El-Daein, East Dafur Province, the origin of the college in the year 2017. East Darfur province has a unique geographical location (rich al-Safna climate), making it an agricultural and pastoral area with many animals, it is located in the southeastern corner of Darfur province, South Darfur province in the west, North Darfur province in the north, West Kordofan province in the east, and South Sudan state in the south. It is the largest proportion of the residents of the state. Those who own enormous numbers of livestock, most of them are cows, as the region is famous for the presence of purebred Arabian horses.

Vision:
To become a scientific center of excellence in animal production and rangeland sciences at the national, regional, and international levels through its academic programs, research, and community service.
Mission:
To produce and disseminate knowledge in animal production and rangeland sciences through high-quality university education and distinguished scientific research, adhering to global standards, in service of the local community, the nation, and humanity. This will be achieved through the sustainable management of renewable natural resources to provide animal products that ensure food security for the community, the country, and for export.
To prepare qualified cadres capable of self-employment and entering the labor market with competitiveness at the local, regional, and international levels.
College Objectives:
- To qualify, train, and build the capacities of students at the levels of Bachelor’s, Higher Diploma, Master’s, and Ph.D., equipping them with knowledge in animal production, rangeland management, and modern technologies in production, processing, marketing, and total quality management.
- To enrich applied and field research in animal production and rangeland sciences aimed at solving sector challenges and contributing to the development of local and national communities for sustainable growth and increased national income.
- To promote organic animal production and maximize the utilization of agricultural and industrial by-products.
- To strengthen relationships with local communities and relevant institutions in animal, agricultural, and industrial production, as well as regional and international organizations, for the development of production, processing, and marketing technologies.
- To develop nomadic and rural communities by building capacities, spreading scientific and technical awareness among rural producers, and linking scientific research with practical field applications.
