The Peace Research and Studies Center at Al-Daein University was established in 2016, concurrently with the founding of Al-Daein University, in response to the urgent need for an academic and research institution dedicated to the study of peace issues, conflict management, and the promotion of peaceful coexistence in the Darfur region and Sudan in general. Since its establishment, the Center has served as a scientific and intellectual platform contributing to knowledge production, capacity building, and strengthening the link between the University and society by addressing vital community issues.
The organizational structure of the Peace Research and Studies Center consists of the following:

To achieve leadership in scientific research and applied studies in the field of peace and the promotion of peaceful coexistence, and to contribute to fostering peace and social stability in Sudan.
The Center seeks to produce and disseminate scientific knowledge, build the capacities of students, researchers, and community actors in the fields of peace, conflict management, gender issues, negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution, and to strengthen partnerships with local, regional, and international institutions in support of peace and development efforts.

The Center offers specialized academic programs in Peace Studies, including:
Higher Diploma in Peace Studies
Master’s Degree in Peace Studies
Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Peace Studies
These programs aim to prepare specialists capable of analyzing conflicts, designing effective peacebuilding interventions, and working in academic and community-based institutions.
